Alexandrina Nikova is a last year student at Democritus University of Thrace, Alexadnroupolis, Greece. She is also a member of the neurosurgical lab faculty of the university and assistant in the operations for 2,5 years. She was a volunteer in the neurological department (Montana, Bulgaria 2016) and a hospitalization guest at the department of neurosurgery (Zurich, Switzerland 2017). Currently she is chosen to be a mentor of “Fundamental neuroscience for neuroimaging” of Johns Hopkins. Her recent researches include the field of neuro-oncology, neurosurgery, traumatic brain injuries, forensic science, vascular neurosurgery and pediatric neurosurgery.

Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is a precise modern approach for the treatment of different intracranial pathologies, including tumors, metastases and arteriovenous malformations. Until now, however, the result was considered to be the same for the three types of machines, GammaKnife, LINAC and CyberKnife.

Dr Rahul Srinivasan is pre final resident in Neurosurgery department at Medical Trust Hospital Kochi, Kerala. He is also member of Cochin neurological society and neurological society of India. He has co authored various articles in field of neurotrauma. Last article related to ICP monitoring was published in Acta Neurochirugica in 2018. During his post graduation he has assisted multiple cranial, spinal surgeries and endovascular procedure. His current research also continues in field of Neuro trauma.

Massive delayed epistaxis following craniofacial trauma from internal carotid artery pseudo aneurysm is a rare but potentially fatal complication. Here we present a case of 18-year male who came to us with intermittent self-limiting spells of epistaxis associated with brief spells of unconsciousness. Patient had a past history of Motor vehicle accident before 1 month during which the patient had sustained a sphenoid fracture. CT brain did not reveal any presence of intracranial bleed. Patient was then subjected to a nasal endoscopy which did not reveal any significant abnormality. Later same day, patient became unresponsive after an episode massive epistaxis with hypovolemic shock. He was resuscitated and was immediately subjected to DSA, which revealed an internal carotid artery pseudo aneurysm with contrast leak into the sphenoid sinus. Here, in presence of good collateral circulation the patient underwent complete occlusion of the cavernous ICA segment of aneurysm. At 6 weeks follow up the patient remains asymptomatic.
